MIKAELA ROBERTS
Hi, my name is Mikaela. During my studies in Digital Media, I really enjoyed being able to enhance the knowledge I had learned in my sound production diploma and focus more on the audio-visual relationships of image and sound. I also really enjoyed the range of projects I could take on, from completing light and sound installations to orchestrating and designing for animated films. I focused on sound design throughout my three years, but due to the pandemic I am now switching fields and focusing on a different direction in life. I will however, treasure all the partnerships and skills I learned throughout my degree.

Automation
Automation is a piece animated by the Procedural Worlds RMIT Studio 2019, ran by animation and artist Gina Moore. I wanted the sound design and composition to focus on the transition of environments and create a tactile feeling as the camera moved throughout the different worlds. I also wanted to focus on the fantasy of the different landscapes and the grandness that we associate with fantasy blockbuster films, which allowed me to experiment with different sound editing, design and composition techniques.

Type: Sound Design
